Tottenham draws with Everton a week after dismissing Nuno Espírito Santo

Tottenham, which earlier this week changed Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo to António Conte, today added the third game without a win in the English football league, by drawing 0-0 in the visit to Everton, in the 11th round.

After making his debut in the Europa Conference League with a 3-2 victory over Vitesse, the Italian coach did not go beyond a draw in the first test in the English league, in which the London team remains in the ninth position, in equal points ( 16) with Wolverhampton.

The ‘spurs’, who in the last two matches under the Portuguese coach’s command had two defeats, receive Leeds in the next match, who today drew, at home, by 1-1 with Leicester.

In a game in which the Portuguese defender Ricardo Pereira started the visiting team, Raphinha opened the scoring after 26 minutes, but Barnes restored the tie for Leicester just two minutes later.

Arsenal beat Watford 1-0 at home, in a game in which they had a goal disallowed by the video referee and saw Aubameyang miss a penalty.

With Portuguese defender Nuno Tavares in the starting lineup and Cedric Soares on the bench, the London team reached the goal in the 56th minute, through Smith Rowe.
