Sporting Kansas City defeated Vancouver Whitecaps (3-1) in the round of 16 of Major League Soccer (MLS), with left-back Luís Martins playing again, starting in the last night.

The Missouri team took the lead through Shelton (17 minutes), but the visiting team secured another draw after converting a penalty, by Dajome (39’).

In the first half’s compensation time (45+3), Isimat-Mirin once again gave the wizards an advantage. Which would be extended after the break, with a submission by Zusi (58’).

Thus, Luís Martins and his Sporting Kansas City are waiting for an opponent in the quarter-finals of the MLS (Western Conference semi-finals), which will leave the duel between Seattle Sounders and Real Salt Lake.
