Russia Attacks Europe’s Largest Nuclear Power Plant, Zelensky Accuses Moscow of “Wanting to Repeat” Chernobyl Catastrophe

On the ninth day of the war, Russian troops took control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, after fighting on the ground, which caused a fire near the installations of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, in Zaporizhzhia. The International Atomic Energy Agency guarantees that there have been no changes in the levels of radiation emitted.

The President of Ukraine accused Moscow of resorting to “nuclear terror” and of “wanting to repeat” the Chernobyl catastrophe.

Boris Johnson will call for an emergency UN Security Council meeting. During the night, alarms sounded in at least four Ukrainian cities.
