Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee Celebrations Begin This Thursday

The celebrations for the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II’s reign begin this Thursday with the Queen’s Birthday Parade. More than 1200 military personnel will participate in the parade. The Platinum Jubilee celebrations conclude on Sunday with a royal family lunch.

The parade that marks the start of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations has already started in London.

Over four days, the 70th anniversary of the third-longest reign in the world will be marked with a horse race, Thanksgiving mass, and even a live concert broadcast around the world. In all, there are about 20,000 events that will mark the celebrations.
