King Charles III promises to continue the mother’s role. In his first intervention this afternoon as monarch, Charles III promised to serve the people of the United Kingdom for the rest of his life.
In a message to the country and the Commonwealth, the monarch remembered his mother, Elizabeth II, and promised to uphold the country’s constitutional values.
