Milan defeated Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 this Tuesday in the fifth round of group E of the Champions League.
Dinamo Zagreb started the game with more ball, but Milan quickly broke free from the Croatians’ bonds. The Italians began to react after 5 minutes, having added some dangerous approaches to Livakovic’s goal.
The first goal came in the 40th minute, through Gabbia. The centre-back responded in the affirmative to a free-kick from the right and fired for the count.
The second half started with another Milan goal. Rafael Leão started from the left and only stopped when he scored. Ten minutes later, Giroud, in the conversion of a penalty, increased to 3-0. In the 69th minute, after a cross by Rafael Leão, Ljubicic deflected the ball into his own goal, in what was the fourth for the Italians.
With this victory, Milan climbs to the second position of the group, with 7 points. Dinamo Zagreb, on the other hand, remains in the last position (4 points).
On the last round, Milan and Salzburg will face each other and will compete for a spot in the round of 16. Chelsea qualified this Tuesday.
