Martin Amis, the acclaimed British author, has passed away at the age of 73, as confirmed by his publisher to the PA news agency.
Throughout his life, Amis wrote and published a notable series of novels and non-fiction works, including his well-known books “Money” (1984) and “London Fields” (1989).
Vintage Books expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Amis as a talented novelist, essayist, memoirist, critic, and master stylist.
They cherished their long-standing partnership with Amis, having published his explosive debut, “The Rachel Papers,” in 1973, and continuing to work together until his most recent book, “Inside Story” in 2020.
Amis received recognition for his writing, with his novel “Time’s Arrow” being shortlisted for the Booker Prize and his 2003 novel “Yellow Dog” making the longlist.
