Ukraine has successfully used one of its drones with a range of 1000 kilometers for the first time, according to Natalia Sad, spokesperson for the Ukrainian state arms company Ukroboronprom.

The announcement was made on social media.

The spokesperson posted a photograph with the commander of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the commander of the Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, and the director of Ukroboronprom, Yurii Husiev, and wrote in the caption: “After our successful use of our drone at one thousand kilometers.”

The announcement of this new equipment had been made in October of last year after Russia used dozens of Shahed-136 drones to attack various regions of Ukraine.

At the time, with a photograph of the Ukrainian flag, the company revealed, “Range – 1000 km, ammunition weight – 75 kg. We are finalizing the development.”

In December, Natalia Sad stated that Ukroboronprom had conducted a series of tests, successfully concluded, with the Ukrainian drone capable of attacking targets at 1000 kilometers.

Now, these equipment are already in action on the front lines, on a day marked by an escalation of Russian attacks against Ukraine.
