According to the department’s statement, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the patrol ship “Sergei Kotov” of the Black Sea Fleet, which “performs the task of controlling shipping in the southwestern part of the Black Sea,” with two high-speed manned-unmanned boats.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claims that during the repulse of the attack, both boats destroyed the Russian ship with fire from standard weapons at a distance of 1000 and 800 meters. There are no casualties, and the ship continues to perform its tasks.
Ukraine has not yet announced an attack on a Russian ship. It is also likely that the Russians deliberately report “attacks” on their ships, focusing on Ukrainian unmanned boats. After all, recently Russi justified strikes on Odesa and Port by allegedly destroying the location of the construction of such drones.
