‘Klishchiivka Liberated from Russian Occupation,’ Announces Ukrainian Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi
On Sunday, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, declared the liberation of Klishchiivka village on the southern flank of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region by Ukrainian security forces.
He made the announcement on Telegram, stating that Ukrainian forces had achieved significant success in the Bakhmut area, with Klishchiivka being cleared of Russian troops by units from the 80th separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 5th separate assault brigade, and the Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine, known as ‘rage.’
He concluded his message with “Glory to the soldiers of Ukraine.”
Andriy Yermak, the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, commended the military, expressing his gratitude by saying, “I thank the soldiers for liberating Ukrainian territory from occupation.”
Earlier last Friday, the Ukrainian General Staff had reported the liberation of Andriyivka village in the Donetsk region from Russian forces.
