Repellent-1 (Russian: Репеллент-1) is a Russian electronic warfare system designed to suppress the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a distance of up to 30 to 35 km (19 to 22 mi). The system weighs more than 20 tons and is capable of detecting miniature air targets from their control signals at distances exceeding 35 km (22 mi), although it can only suppress drones within a 2.5 km (1.6 mi) range.
History
Repellent-1 was developed by the Russian Scientific and Technical Center for Electronic Combat (Научно-техническом центре радиоэлектронной борьбы). It is installed on the chassis of MAZ (MAZ-6317) or KAMAZ vehicles, depending on customer specifications. The development of Repellent-1 was completed in 2016, and it was showcased at an exhibition the same year.

Applications
Russian-Ukrainian War
During the Russian-Ukrainian war, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) reported on August 11, 2018, that four electronic warfare systems, including Repellent-1, were recorded near the village of Chornukhyne on July 28. The system has been actively used in the conflict to counter UAV operations.
Armenian-Azerbaijani Border Conflict
In the 2021–2022 Armenia–Azerbaijan border crisis, Armenia reportedly lost two operational stations of the Repellent-1 complex, highlighting its deployment in the region.
Russian Invasion of Ukraine (2022)
On May 1, 2022, it was reported that a Russian Repellent-1 system was destroyed, marking its involvement and subsequent losses in the ongoing conflict.
